How to find the right contractor

What is the best way to find the right contractor? I see that there is the directory but how to find the right one? Just go through the list one by one?
 
Directory is a good start, contact a contractor that looks like a good fit.

You can also post your question/ comments in the forum here, and see if contractors can chime in.

All depends on the job and location. I also recommend starting by posting the job here and see if you get any response. The more details the better. Good luck.
 
Directory has some good contractors, just need to take the time to talk to them. And also this forum was a good way to connect. Just post the job here and let them contact you.
